What I'm Spinning: Bamboo top

Currently on one of my drop spindles is a handdyed bamboo top. Bamboo? Isn't that a big grass? Yes, it is, but it also creates a beautiful shiny and silky top. I find it softer and easier to spin than silk also. I'm going to be spinning more of this fiber- it's a welcome break from wools.

Out of the dyepot... although still drying

These are the fibers I dyed this weekend- Lincoln lamb, Karakul cross lamb, and llama.

What I'm Spinning: Citrus merino

Right now I'm spinning a handdyed shades of orange and yellow merino combed top on one of my drop spindles. Probably to be listed on my etsy store shortly.

What I'm knitting: Seashore Socks

These will be a Christmas present (I think). I call these "seashore socks" because it reminds me of sand, waves, and sea. I also dyed the yarn and was thinking about creating a colorway that was oceanic. This is the first sock. I'm at the heel right now. We'll see if I get done by Christmas.

This is my last completed knitting project. Over Christmas when I took a few days off I learned to knit shawls. This is the Victorian lace something-or-other shawl. The pattern is free on elann.com. The yarn is natural mix Patons Classic wool, and this is the second shawl I ever completed, took me about a week total. Yes, I goofed on part of the left side, but hey, it's my second shawl!
